Site-Specific Variances@endsection
Existing buildings, irregular lots, and site constraints don't always allow strict compliance with every Building Code provision. A site-specific variance gives an owner a formal path to request DOB approval of an alternative approach for their particular building or site, backed by engineering justification rather than a blanket code exception.
ECC prepares the technical analysis and supporting documentation these applications require, identifying the specific code sections in conflict and developing a compliance alternative that addresses the underlying life-safety intent of the code.
We manage the variance submission through DOB review, responding to examiner questions and refining the technical justification as needed, so a site condition that doesn't fit the code doesn't become a project that can't move forward.
